James H. Luther

James H. "Jimmy" Luther, age 77, of Asheboro died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Luther was born September 29, 1937 in Charleston, WV to Steve and Nina Luther. He was retired from AVS after 20+ years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Luther was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Susan Greene, son, Carl Clifton, grandsons, Lucas Clifton and Alan Luther. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Faye Jarrell Luther; sons, Steve Luther and wife Joyce of Starke, FL, Lynn Luther and wife Linda of Lake Butler, FL; daughter, Laura Luther and fiancé Andy Ennis of Starke, FL; step-sons, Bruce McMasters and wife Marie of Ramseur, Timmy Hasty and wife Gail of Asheboro, Tony Hasty of Asheboro; grandchildren, Wayne McMasters and wife Samantha of Randleman, Alicia Crews of Lake Butler, FL, Chris Willis and wife Kim of Annapolis, MD, Ashley Luther of Starke, FL, Sarah Luther of Seabring, FL, Brandon Luther and wife Kristie of Lake Butler, FL, Tyler Hasty of Seagrove, Natalie Hasty of Seagrove; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Luther and wife Anna Mae of Spokane, WA; brother-in-law and best friend, Max Jarrell of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
