James Carl “Jimmy” Lineberry, age 77, of Asheboro died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Mr. Lineberry was born February 1, 1940 in Liberty, NC the son of the late Hal J. and Freddie (McDowell) Lineberry.
Jimmy was a very outgoing person who loved to laugh and had never met a stranger. He was a great story teller and lived life to the fullest. Jimmy had a love for cars all of his life and was a member of the Shriners and Mason Lodge #699 in Asheboro.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Carolyn Mead Lineberry, stepmother: Bobby Lineberry of Randleman, sister: Gail Lucas (Jimmy) of Randleman, nephew: Beau Mead (Sara) of New Buffalo, MI, great nephew: Steven Mead of New Buffalo, MI, dear friend: Ann Dowd of Jamestown and step brothers: Lee Hilliard of Randleman and Van Hilliard (Maureen) of Randleman.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 30, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jenna Grogan officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tammy Alderman of Home Instead and to the staff at Clapp’s Convalescent Nursing Home for their love and care they gave Jimmy.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 West Farris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605 or to the organization of the Donor's choice.
