James Lee Kirkman

James Lee Kirkman, age 55 of Greensboro, passed away on May 6, 2023 at his home.

James was born on August 27, 1967 in Guilford County to Tony and Ann Walden Kirkman. James was a graduate of Southern Guilford High School and then received an associate degree in business from Guilford Technical Community College. James loved his family so much and enjoyed riding motorcycles. His passion was racing his super mini truck at Caraway Speedway where he won numerous championships. James was a man who could build or fix anything and instilled this trait in his children. He enjoyed painting and restoring vintage cars and loved to wheel and deal with folks.

James is survived by his wife, Sheila Kirkman; sons, Jesse (Kimberly) Kirkman, Jonathan Kirkman, and Joshua (Tracy) Kirkman all of Greensboro; parents, Tony and Ann Kirkman of Greensboro; brother, Joseph Michael Kirkman of Greensboro; and his faithful canine companion, Jack.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC 27317. A private service and burial will be held.
