James Odell Jarrell, age 81, of 607 Peachtree Street, Asheboro died Friday, September 18, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro..A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Jarrell was a member of the Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and had retired from B.B. Walker Shoe company. His loves of his life were his family, his gardening, and his fishingHe is survived by his wife: Shirley Blake Jarrell, one daughter: Barbara J Sykes and her husband Tommy of Sophia, NC, grandson, Thomas Sykes and his wife Kara of Randleman, NC;; granddaughter, Hannah Sykes of Sophia, NC; great grandson, Weston Sykes of Randleman, NC, one sister: Ruth Myrick of Robbins, NC and two brothers: Junior Jarrell and Coy Jarrell of both Asheboro, NCThe family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
