James "Jamie" McKee

James "Jamie" McKee, age 57, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Clapp's Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden. Mr. McKee was born in Randolph County on October 18, 1958 to Lester Frank and Mary Huff McKee. He was employed with the Randolph Vocational Industries for 30 years. Jamie was a happy, outgoing man who loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed listening to music. He was an honorary member of the Asheboro Lions Club. He is survived by his brother, Frank McKee and wife Teresa of Asheboro; nephews, Nick McKee and wife Amy of Randleman; Patrick McKee of Roanoke, VA; and great nieces and nephew, Tanner, MaKenzie, and Emma Grace McKee. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Connie Weaver and Rev. Brian Gawf officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and care given to Jamie during his stay at Clapp's Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden.
