James Braxton Harris

James "Jimmy" Braxton Harris, age 67, of 135 West River Dr., Randleman died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at McGuire Medical Center, Richmond.Mr. Harris was a native of Chatham County, but spent most of his life in Randolph County. He served as a firefighter in the US Navy Aviation. He was retired from Henredon as an upholster with 30 years of service. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his father, James (J.B.) Braxton Harris, Sr.He is survived by daughter: Kimberly Jo Harris of Randleman; mother, Mary Joyce Harris, of Randleman; granddaughter, Candace Lawson of Asheboro; sister, Frances and her husband Jack Ferree of Cedar Falls; sister, JoAnn and her husband, Archie Voss of S. Daytona Beach, FL.; sister, Camellia and her husband, Tony Thomas of Asheboro; brother, Bill Harris and his wife, Lynn of Randleman; and brother: Eddie Harris of Randleman.The family will receive friends Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Rev. Terri Lindquist officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
