James Richard Dorsett

James Richard Dorsett, age 66, of Asheboro died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation. Mr. Dorsett was born October 2, 1948 in Montgomery County to Hosey and Mae Spivey Dorsett. He was retired from Biscoe Foundry and was a member of Zion Praise and Worship Center. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dorsett was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Singleton Dorsett, sister, Frances Dorsett Parker, Elizabeth Dorsett Britt and brothers, Clarence and Carlos Dorsett. He is survived by his sister, Bernice Dorsett Braswell of Troy; brothers, Harvey Dorsett of Troy, Roy Dorsett of Asheboro and Alvin Dorsett of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.
