James Clifton Boone

James Clifton Boone, age 90, of NC Hwy. 705, Seagrove died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.Mr. Boone was a native of Moore County and was an army veteran of WWII. He was a retired mail carrier who enjoyed gardening and selling produce. Mr. Boone was preceded in death by his brother, Colvin Boone of Asheboro.He is survived by his wife, Ottie Cooper Boone; brother, Lonnie Boone of Candor, NC; two nieces and one nephew.The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
