James Lewis Chriscoe

James Lewis Chriscoe, age 78, of Asheboro died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his home. Mr. Chriscoe was born August 12, 1937 the son of Kenny Jasper and Myrtle Britt Chriscoe. Mr. Chriscoe was a native of Randolph County and a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from Energizer Battery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years: Rossie Maie Sizemore Chriscoe, brother: K. J. Chriscoe and sister: Ins Allison. He is survived by stepson and his wife: W. Adams (Cathy) James of Lexington; stepson: John W. James of Swannanoa; step daughter and her husband: Brenda James (Clifford) Elliott of Denton; grandchildren: Chris (April) Davis of Franklinville, Angela Davis (Tim) Rea of Summerfield and Mark W. (Fran) James of Seagrove; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter: Kylee Maie Baxter; and sister: Lib Roach of Asheboro. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 12:00 (noon) at New Hope Memorial Gardens, Asheboro with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
