James Hubert "Jim" Causey

James Hubert "Jim" Causey, age 66, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Causey was born in Randolph County on October 13, 1950 to Clarence Hubert and Margaret Cox Causey. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Asheboro High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Administration and Economics from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Jim was formerly employed with Food Line, Columbia Grocery Store, Winn-Dixie, as a manager, and Lowe's Food. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Causey Reavis. Jim enjoyed retirement and spending time with the grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hunter Causey; daughter, Megan Causey Cauthen of Asheboro; son, James Hubert "Jim" Causey, Jr. of Asheboro; granddaughters, Haley Madison Cauthen and Kaelyn Brynn Cauthen; sister, Judy Curtis and husband Dwain of Murrells Inlet, SC; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
