James Hubert Brower, age 92, of Asheboro died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mr. Brower was born in Seagrove the son of William Jonah and Rilla Jane Cagle Brower.
James was a native of Randolph County and served as a merchant marine during WWII. James was a member of Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church in Randleman. In addition to his parents Mr. Brower is preceded in death by his first wife: Aline Routh Brower; daughter: Carlesta B. Partin; son: Larry Eugene Brower, brothers Curtis and Jonah Brower; sisters: Swanie Luther and Myrtle Brower.
He is survived by his wife: Anna Pritchard Brower of the home; grandchildren, Mechele Partin Dunlap and her husband Randy of Asheboro, Amanda Partin Brady and her husband Michael of Bossier City, LA., Amy Brower of Raleigh, and Kathryn Brower of San Francisco, CA; great grandchildren: Micah Dunlap, McKennah Chriscoe, and Levi Brady; Daughter In Law: Tammy Brower of Kittrell; sisters: Mildred Blackmon and Madie Brower both of Seagrove.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2013 from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Jonathan Perdue officiating. Burial will follow at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
