James Lacy Auman, age 91, of Seagrove died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House.
Mr. Auman was born February 8, 1925 in Seagrove to Walter C. and Edna Trogdon Auman.
He was a 1942 graduate of Seagrove School and was an avid UNC-Chapel Hill fan. Mr. Auman was retired as co-owner of Seagrove Motor Company and was the oldest living member of Seagrove United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Auman was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Auman Ridenhour, his niece, Sandra Auman Needham and his two canine companions, Julie and Muffin.
He is survived by his brother, W.C. Auman of Seagrove; nieces, Candace Reavis and husband Carl of Mocksville, Brenda Edwards and husband Clinton of Asheboro; nephew, Tommy Ridenhour of Monroe.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 12:30-1:30PM at Seagrove United Methodist Church, 225 W. Main St., Seagrove. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert E. Dowling and Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
