James Lee Acord

James Lee Acord, age 46, of 124 Three B Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home in Asheboro. Mr. Acord was born in Columbus, OH and attended Mt. View High School in Welch, W. Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Okie Lee Carroll and adoptive parents Jim and Omie Acord, and brothers, Ronnie Lee Carroll and Kenneth Wesley Carroll. He was formerly employed in the maintenance department at Cross Road Retirement Community. He is survived by his wife: Alma Lugene Acord; Sons: Jonathan Lee Acord and Richard Vance of the home; Mother: Banie Sue and her husband, Richard "Stoney" Noel; Sister: Deborah Walls of Asheboro; Brothers: Rodney Stanley of Narrows, VA and Larry Carroll of Conover, NC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at his home. A Private Service will be held at a later date.
