Jacqueline Crickmore Chisholm

Jacqueline Crickmore Chisholm, 79, of Cary, NC passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. Jackie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her laugh and beauty lit up every room she entered. She had a zest for life that was contagious to her family and friends. If you knew her, you were better for it. She was born on October 22, 1935 to the late Charlie and Ora Crickmore of Asheboro. She met her beloved husband and best friend of 57 years, Robert Milton (Bob) Chisholm at Belk in Asheboro where they both worked part time after school. They were married August 15, 1954 at Central Methodist Church in Asheboro. Jackie cherished her job of raising their two daughters and spoiling her grandchildren, who are some of the luckiest kids on the planet. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert Milton (Bob) Chisholm. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Chisholm Bailey (Jim) of Greensboro, Janet Chisholm Lessig (Michael) of Cary and grandchildren, Andrew Chisholm Hayes of Greensboro, Haley Elizabeth Lessig of Cary, London Gayle Bailey of Greensboro, Lauren Bailey Crawford (Brad) of Greensboro and great grandson, Jack Hudson Craword; siblings, Shelba Jean Crickmore Cox of Reidsville, Charlie Crickmore, Jr. (Sharon) of Asheboro and Barbara Crickmore Pace (Jim) of Maryland. The family will receive friends at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave in Asheboro, NC from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Talmadge Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Transitions Hospice Lifecare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. The dedication, genuine concern and loving care of the nursing team made this journey much more bearable. Special heartfelt thanks to nurse Gloria Taylor.
