Jacksie Ward Beck Long, age 94, of Randleman died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Long was a native of Randolph County and retired from Klopman Mills. She was a member of Shallotte Baptist Church and attended Central Falls Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mary Ward; husbands Ernest Beck and James Long, sisters: Gladys Leonard and Annie Mae Quantz, brother: John Ward. She is survived by one son: Mitchell and wife Nancy Beck of Randleman, NC; she raised her nephews and niece: Gilbert and wife Teresa Long of Asheboro, NC, Marty Long of North Wilkesboro, NC, Bernice and husband Kirk Poteet of Kings Mountain; stepsons, Jason Long of Shallotte, NC and Bo Long of Makina, NC; stepdaughter, Pearl Ward of Shallotte, NC; brother: Bickett Ward of Asheboro, NC; Grandchildren: Dwight and girlfriend Donna Beck, Rev. Ernest and wife Patty Beck, Todd and wife Beverly Beck, Tracy and wife Shannon Beck; great grandchildren: Brandon Beck, Brittany Stokes, Reid Beck Maisy Beck, Braxson Beck, Jackson Beck, Angel Beck, Zackery Beck, Nathan Beck, Jackie Beck; Great Great Grandchildren: Addie Beck, Haven Beck, Dillen Stokes The family will receive friends Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2:00 at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Gerald Hussey and Rev. Ernest Beck officiating.
