Jacksie Scott Davis

Jacksie Scott Davis, age 83, of Asheboro died Friday, August 12, 2011. Mrs. Davis was born March 16, 1928, the daughter of Jarvis Mann and Dovie Scott. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by everyone and a friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband: Arnold B. Davis; sons: Greg Davis and wife Kay of Ellerbe, NC, Mark Davis of Dahlonega, GA, Tim Davis and wife Jo Ann of Clayton, NC; grandchildren: Jennifer Shackley, Nikki DeMers, Mandy Davis, Erin Davis, Natalie Davis, Micah Davis, Kaiti Davis, and John Henry Davis II; and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Susan Shackley. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday, August 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Browers Chapel United Methodist Church, 1030 Browers Chapel Road, Asheboro with Rev. Jeff Sypole and Rev. Leon Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, 1426 Pleasant Ridge Road, Ramseur, NC 27316.
