Jackie Paul McCaskill

Jackie Paul McCaskill, age 66, of 2550 Love Joy Rd, Troy died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. Mr. McCaskill was born March 6, 1949 at Biscoe, NC, the son of Daniel David and Delilah Gillis McCaskill. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Forks of LIttle River Baptist Church. He loved to fish and the outdoors. He loved his grandkids and all animals. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy McCaskill and Mary M. Lewis. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years: Elizabeth "Kay" Murdock McCaskill of the home; one daughter: Shannon McCaskill Stubbs and husband David Clayton Stubbs of Troy, and two sons: Andrew Daniel McCaskill and wife Brandy Page McCaskill of Stanfield, David A McCaskill of Asheboro; 3 grandchildren; one brother: Billy Ray McCaskill of Biscoe. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home of Shannon McCaskill Stubbs, 920 Eldorado St., Troy. A memorial service with military honors will be Friday at 5:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Rev. David Sanders officiating.
