Jack Dempsey Williamson

Jack Dempsey "Shad" Williamson, age 75, of Asheboro died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his home. Mr. Williamson was a native of Randolph County and was formerly employed with Stedman Manufacturing and Energizer Battery. Jack was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Marsha V. Williamson; daughters, Jana W. Richardson and her husband Kyle, Laranda W. Trogdon and her husband Samuel; grandson, Jackson Kyle Richardson; sister-in-law, Carole V. Shaw and her daughter Meredith Shaw; sisters, Margie W. Nelson, Peggy W. Williams, Geneva W. Purgason; and brother, Roy Williamson all of Asheboro; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Carole V. Shaw and Pastor John Auler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
