Jack Ray Cook

Jack Ray Cook, age 79, of 310 Sunrise Ave., Asheboro died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Norman Livengood officiating. Burial will follow in the South Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, Sophia with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Cook was a native of Rockingham County and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Sears in Greensboro. He is survived by his wife, Jewell York Cook of the home; daughters, Linda Cowan of Randleman, NC and Diana Lynch of Greensboro, NC; son, Ronald Cook of Winston-Salem, NC;3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
