Jack Lynn Clark, age 82, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Quail Haven Healthcare Center of Pinehurst.
Mr. Clark was born on February 1, 1935 to Dougald and Pallie Lee Davis Clark. Jack attended Asheboro High School, graduated from Pembroke University, and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a License Examiner with the DMV for almost 30 years and also did electrical work. Jack attended seminary at old Wake Forest and was a minister for over 20 years at Sophia Christian Church and Flint Hill Community Church. Jack was very involved in sports. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Ermalee Hooker and brothers, Vann Clark and Tommy Clark.
He is survived by his children, Lynne Clark Thompson and husband Jimmy of Carthage, Mark Clark and wife Lynette of Pinehurst, Kelly Clark Cox and husband Darrell of West End, Jeff Clark and wife Marybeth of Pinehurst, and Tucker Clark of Asheboro; step daughter, Holly King Patel and husband Sam of Phoenix, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Dianne Clark Hammonds and husband Jimmy of Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Flint Hill Community Church, 6605 Flint Hill Rd., Sophia with Rev. Michael W. Adams Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Following the committal, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flint Hill Community Church, 6605 Flint Hill Rd., Sophia, NC 27350.
