Jack Dempsey Beane, age 80, of 710 William Avenue, Asheboro passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.
A graveside service with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Ed Conner officiating.
Mr. Beane was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post 45. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was retried from Bossong Hosiery and Energizer Battery. Mr. Beane was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Effie Luck Beane, sister, Ethel Shirley, brothers, Lee Roy Beane, John T. Beane.
He is survived by his wife, Lib Beane; daughters, Sharon B. Hall of Asheboro, Jackie B. Whalley and her husband Bob Whalley of Asheboro; grandchildren, Holly Hall of Asheboro, Sarah Whalley of Asheboro; sister, Minnie B. Needham of Graham; brothers, Walter Beane of Asheboro, Billy C. Beane of Asheboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
