Ivey Frank Hall, age 86, of 215 Shaw Rd, Troy died Friday, November 16, 2007 at Baaseiah Rest Home, Biscoe.
Mr. Hall was born October 18, 1921 at Wadeville, the son of the late Jasper James and the late Cora Alice (Morris) Hall. At the age of 14, he went to work for Capels, Inc. and retired at the age of 77 as plant superintendent. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Troy Lodge #718 and a Shriner. He was active in law enforcement for over 51 years, having served 10 of those years as Police Chief of Troy.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Lamonds Hall of the home; three daughters: Sue Hall Freeman, Barbara Hall Byrd and Julie Hall Clark, all of Troy; one sister: Jo Burkhead of Candor; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh- Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. A graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 am at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1569 Troy-Candor Rd., Candor with Rev. Lee Carter officiating.
