Irene Krukowski Tylicki, age 78, of Asheboro died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Tylicki was born February 15, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Helen Kniola Krukowski. Irene has lived her life in Ohio, Florida and her remaining years in North Carolina. She was an experienced cook and enjoyed family get-togethers, reading, current events and always up for a spirited debate. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward Krukowski and Helen Kniola Krukowski, husband: James Tylicki, son: Thomas Tylicki and brother: Daniel Krukowski. Irene's fighting spirit and love of family are an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children: Micheal Tylicki and his wife, Louise and granddaughter: Valerie of Dania, Florida; Regina Tylicki Cook and her husband, David of High Point; Todd Tylicki and his wife, Lisa and grandsons: Michael and Timothy of Asheboro; Kimberly Tylicki Lemons and her husband, Bobby and grandson: Ryan Grant of Greensboro; grandson: Eric Tylicki of Ohio; sister: Harriet Arndt of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved pets. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Randolph Hospital, Clapp's Nursing Home, Dr. Garing, Dr. Sopala, Bonnie Shanas and Hospice of Randolph for the care and devotion shown to our mother.
