Irene Reynolds

Martha Irene Allred Reynolds, age 88, of Asheboro died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Reynolds was born May 11, 1932 the daughter of William Carl and Viola Davis Allred. Irene was a native of Randolph County and a very active member of Providence Friends Meeting. Mrs. Reynolds retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill in Randleman. She always loved to spend time with her family and friends every chance she could. She was also a great cook and loved to prepare and share meals from the garden. She loved and cared for her church family as well as the community. She was always willing to lend a hand in their time of need. In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reynolds, brothers, Wallace Allred, twin brother James Eugene Allred, and Ray Allred. She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Garner and husband Gary of Asheboro; son: Randall Reynolds and wife Sandra of Apex; grandchildren: April Cranford and husband Chad both of Farmer, Ashley Keith and husband Chris of Ramseur, Anna Reynolds and Thomas Reynolds both of Apex; great-grandchildren: Hailey Cranford, Isabelle Keith, Grayson Cranford; brothers: Franklin Allred of Randleman, Carl Allred, Jr of Asheboro, Clancy Allred of Franklinville, and Lonnie Allred of Franklinville; sisters, Catherine Bean of Seagrove, Louise Allred of Franklinville and Ruth Allred of Asheboro. Irene will Lie in Repose for family and friends Friday, April 2, 2021 from 12:00-4:30 at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Providence Friends Meeting Cemetery, 2054 Providence Church Road, Pleasant Garden with Pastor Kevin Rollins officiating. The family would like to express their appreciation to the loving care of all the staff at Clapp's Nursing Home.
