Irene Gibson Freeman

Irene Gibson Freeman, age 85, of 1114 Shamrock Rd., Asheboro died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Freeman was born May 11, 1927 the daughter of Edmond Dowd and Esther Gay Gibson. Mrs. Freeman was a native long time resident of Asheboro and a homemaker. She was a member of West Asheboro Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Dowd and Esther Gay Gibson. She is survived by her husband of 68 years: Frank L. Freeman, daughter: Dianne Greene and her husband, Rev. Darrell Greene of Kernersville, sons: Larry Freeman and his wife, Janice, of Winston-Salem, Roland Freeman and his wife, Donna of Winston- Salem, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister: Edna Lois Greene and her husband, V.A., of Mt. Gilead, NC. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Randolph Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Darrell Greene officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 27, 2012 following services in the mausoleum. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
