Irene Martin Brinkley

Irene Martin Brinkley, age 79, of Climax died Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Brinkley was born June 8, 1936 the daughter of Everette and Evie Burrows Martin. Irene was a native of Randolph County and formerly worked at Laughlin Hosiery but retired from Acme-McCrary. In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Hanes "Frank" Brinkley, sister, Marie Moody, brothers, Ralph and Calvin "Buck" Martin. She is survived by her daughters: Beverly Anderson and her husband Danny of Elon, Gwen Morton and her husband Tommy of the home, and Tammi Coble and her husband Chris of Newport, NC; grandchildren: Chris Morton, Jennifer Anderson, Micah Morton, Alicia Garner, Kailee Coble, and Shanna Coble; 6 great grandchildren; brother: George Williams and his wife Phyllis. The family will hold a "Celebration of Life Gathering" Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 2:00 - 5:00PM at her home.. Memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
