Ina Nelson

Ina Rich Nelson, age 85, of Sophia departed from this world to be with our Lord, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Ina was the daughter of Walter and May Rich. She was a native of Randolph County and attended Living By Faith Baptist Church. Ina Rich retired from Southern Classic of Sophia after many years of service. She was a person loved by her family, friends and all who knew her. In addition to her parents Ina Rich is preceded in death by her husband, Norman R. Nelson; sons, Walter Dennis, David Allen and Danny Ray Nelson; brothers, Norman, Paul, Daniel and Donald Rich; granddaughter, Shelley Hodgin. She is survived by her son, Larry Newman and his wife Catherine of Sopia; daughters, Rachel Routh of Sophia, Brenda Spencer and her husband Bennie and Jackie Hodgin and her husband Richard of Randleman; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Angel and Rev. Michael Stumbo officiating. Burial will follow at South Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, Sophia. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
