Imogene Powell

Imogene McPherson Powell, age 86, of Asheboro died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Ashton Place Health and Rehab, McLeansville. Mrs. Powell was born December 4, 1928 the daughter of William (Bill) and Myrtle Boggs McPherson. Mrs. Powell was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker. Imogene was an avid quilter and enjoyed caring for others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Powell and two brothers, David and Sam McPherson. She is survived by her daughter: Sharon Ridge and her husband, Jack of Greensboro, NC and son: Dickie Ray Powell and his wife, Ruthann of Anchorage, AK, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one brother: Ed McPherson of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Dr. Richard Crider officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
