Imogene King Bulla, age 94, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at High Point Medical Center.
Mrs. Bulla was born in Seagrove, NC on May 30, 1928 to Boyd and Janie Cole King. She was retired from Sheraton Finance and was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church where she was formerly active in many capacities. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Maxton Bulla, sister, Evelyn King Johnson, and brother, Morris King. Imogene loved to travel and had visited all 50 states. She was a volunteer for many organizations in Asheboro. She enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies and sourdough bread.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Ivey (Mitch) of Charlotte, sons, Dee Bulla (Chris) of Asheboro and Don Bulla (Lydia) of High Point; grandchildren, Seth Ivey (Karine), Sam Ivey (Bekah), Dr. Emmi Bulla, Jessi Bulla, Gracie Bulla, and Sara Bulla; and great grandchild, Illah Ivey.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from noon-12:45 pm at Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church with Fred Huffstetler and Rev. Jon Hunter officiating. A private burial will be held at Randolph Memorial Park.
