Ila Robbins Rich Kivett, age 86, of Asheboro went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 4, 2008 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Mrs. Kivett was born August 21, 1921 the daughter of Arvie and Queen (Callicutt) Robbins.
She was the widow of James Charles Kivett and retired from General Electric after 26 years. She was a former resident of Lee Street and a member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She also had taught Sunday School at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Asheboro in years past. She also sang in a trio with her daughters for several years.
She is survived by: daughter and her husband, Kathy and Bill Miller of Asheboro, NC; son: Kenneth W. Rich of Deatsville, AL; daughter and her husband, Bernice "Pinky" and John Lambert of Asheboro, NC. She was also the beloved grandmother to: grandson, Danny Miller of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Robin Dillard of Friscoe, TX; granddaughter, Wendy McKenzie of Millbrook, AL; grandson, Craig Rich of Wetumpka, AL; grandson, Andrew Lambert of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Patrick Lambert of Asheboro, NC; and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 7, 2008 from 10:30-11:30 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 11:30 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, Chapel with Rev. Adrian Pugh and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
