Hoyt Samuel Wright

Hoyt Samuel "Bud" Wright, age 82, of Seagrove passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Wright was born in Randolph County on December 1, 1936 to Hoyt Kitchen and Annie Weeks Wright. He was the owner/operator of Wright's Sawmill. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joseph Robert Sicheneder, brother, Charles Kitchen "C.K." Wright, and sisters, Patricia King and Peg Demeres. Bud loved to talk and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilma Comer Wright; daughter, Peggy Wright Sicheneder of Seagrove; sister, Edna "Anne" Auman of Seagrove; nephews, Robert Wright of Asheboro, Jeff Auman of Seagrove, and Doug Wright of Seagrove; and many extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 1:30-3:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 3:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ronnie Chaney officiating. Burial will be in the Seagrove Christian Church Cemetery.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Bobby and Carolyn Dixon, Jeff, Kathy and Andrea Auman, Robert and Easton Wright and the Hospice caregivers, Rosemary and Megan, and all the Hospice staff for their care and support to Bud and his family.
