Hoyt Auman age 79 of Seagrove died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at his home. Born October 8, 1935 to the late Theodore and Mattie Nichols Auman. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and was retired from Oliver Rubber Company as their Fleet Transportation Manager. Hoyt loved to travel and had visited 48 states, he thoroughly enjoyed his retirement and loved working outside and growing a garden which he shared with neighbors and friends, and having his coffee break with his buddies at the Quick Chek in Seagrove.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Carol Auman Cagle. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne Wright Auman of the home. His son Jeff and wife Kathy and the joy of his life granddaughter Andrea Marie Auman. His sisters Dorothy Auman Davis of Melbourne, FL, Delores Auman Saunders and husband Alfred of Troy, and Janet Auman Tompkins of Kannapolis. Several nieces and nephews.
A brief graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Seagrove Christian Church with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. The family will receive family and friends at Pugh Funeral Home on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
