Howard Thomas “Tommy” Stutts, age 81, of Asheboro died Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Stutts was born January 29, 1934 in Randolph County, NC, the son of Vincent Carlton and Josie Nelson Stutts. He attended Asheboro High School and formerly Fayetteville Street School. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a retired engineer from Wells Hosiery, Inc. and was formerly employed with A.J. Schnierson, Inc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, J.C. Stutts. He was an avid golfer, bowler, billiards player, and had a love for antique cars. In earlier years, he was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Juula Stutts; daughters: Tammie Stutts Walker and her husband Mike of Randleman, Jada Tommian Stutts and Torey Julianne Stutts of Asheboro; and sons, Howard Tony Stutts of Asheboro, and Terry Stutts and his significant other, Karma Hilton of Denton, NC; Grandchildren, Adam Craig and his wife Kavita, Nicole Brewer and her husband Blake, Nick Thomas Craig and Tony Carlton Stutts and his wife, Lori.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 12:30-1:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors David and Deborah Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
