Howard Franklin Gore

Howard Franklin Gore, age 73, of 4420 Island Ford Rd., Sophia died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Vernon McDaniel officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Gore was born on October 10, 1936 in North Wilkesboro, NC, the son of Willie Howard and Virginia Dean Rycroft Gore. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from Jockey International in Randleman, NC. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Carol Gore, daughter, Star Gore, and sister, Nancy G. Sullivan. He is survived by his stepson, Gordon Drumwright and his wife Christie of Asheboro, NC; sons, Howard Franklin Gore, Jr. of Yadkinville, NC, Brian Gore of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter, Cassie Gore of Yadkinville, NC; grandchildren, Isabel and Jackson Drumwright both of Asheboro, NC, Adam Gore of Jamestown, NC and his three siblings; sister, Gail M. Gore of Bedford, TX; brother, Phillip Wade Gore and his wife Jeanette of Southport, NC; and nieces, Debora and Donna Gore both of Southport, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, Kids Path, P.O.
