Homer Allen Mitchell

Homer Allen Mitchell, Jr, age 40, of Asheboro went home to OUR LORD AND SAVIOR on Friday, July 6, 2012 at his home after a brief illness surrounded by his family. Mr. Mitchell was born June 30, 1972 at Welch, West Virginia, moved to Davy West Virginia where he lived the first twenty years of his life. He was a 1990 graduate of Mountain View High School, and in 1992 he moved to Asheboro. Homer was employed with Oliver Rubber Company for 16 years. He loved camping and fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Homer Junior and Betty Green Mitchell; brother: Ruben Mitchell and wife Donna of Asheboro, NC; sister: Debbie Walls of Asheboro, NC. Nieces and nephews: Robert, Stephanie, Christopher Walls, Alexandria (Nikki) and Ruben (Jamie) Mitchell all of Asheboro, NC. And a very special great nephew: Mason (May-May) Walls. The family will receive friends Monday, July 9, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Douglas Mortuary, Welch, WVA. The funeral will be Thursday July 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Douglas Mortuary Chapel Welch, WVA with Rev. Jack and Marie Bolden officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Welch. WVA.
