Homer Glenn Hall, Jr., age 73, of Asheboro died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hall was a native of Chatham County, a US Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro. He was a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy and was a registered pharmacist with Eckerd's for 35 years, working at several locations in Asheboro, Greensboro and Thomasville. Mr. Hall was married on August 5, 1961 in Siler City to the love of his life, Frances Hammer. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and brother as well as a generous and caring man to all he met. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Artis Brewer Hall, and a sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Hall Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Hammer Hall; daughter, Lisa Hall and her friend Cheryl Earl of Raleigh, NC; sons, Glenn Hall and his wife Cindy of High Point, NC, Philip Hall and his wife Tracy of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Jason Hall; granddaughter, Meredith Hall; sister, Rachel Allred and her husband Harold of Siler City, NC.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 11, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and other times at the home.
