Hilda Pickard

Hilda Hamilton Pickard, age 95, of Randleman died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 12:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Randleman with Rev. Jenna Grogan officiating. Burial will follow at.St. Paul Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am prior to the service in the sanctuary. Mrs. Pickard was a native of Harnett County but lived in Randleman since early childhood. She was a graduate of Meredith College and a member of the Randleman First Methodist Church where she was chairman of the Altar Guild for many years. She was neighborhood chairman for the Randleman Girl Scouts when there were ten troops, a member of the Randleman Womens Club and the Randleman Garden Club. Hilda is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Pickard, son, James W. Pickard, Jr., and her sister Leta Hamilton Rosser. Hilda is survived by her son, Robert H. "Bobby" Pickard and his wife Kandie and their daughter Jennifer and daughter Elizabeth "Libby" Morro of Raleigh and their children Emily Fleming (Morgan) and James "Jake" James Morro; brother: Haywood Hamilton and his wife Shirley of Charlotte and several nieces and six nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paul Cemetery Fund, 221 Carlisle Ave., Randleman, NC 27317 or Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27203.
