Hilda Chrisman Pendleton, age 90, of Asheboro, NC died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Pendleton was born May 28, 1924 in Roanoke, VA to Campbell and Ethel Fox Chrisman.
She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and an avid Bible reader. Mrs. Pendleton was a committed teacher who taught for 37 years in the elementary school system in Virginia Beach, VA and Kitty Hawk, NC. She was a very giving and beautiful lady both inside and out. Mrs. Pendleton was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and was the angel of the family.
She is survived by her husband, Willard Pendleton; son, Willard (Bill) Pendleton, Jr. and wife Lendy of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Jeanne Forrest and husband Steve of Clemmons, NC; grandchildren, Ted Pendleton of Charlotte, NC, Bonny Morris and husband Peter of Clemmons, NC; great granddaughter, Caroline Marie Morris of Clemmons, NC; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Fair View Cemetery in Roanoke, VA with Rev. Willard Pendleton, Jr. officiating.
