Hilda Mae Prevost Wright

Hilda Mae Prevost Wright, age 84, Asheboro died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mrs. Wright was a native of Asheboro and a member of Asheboro Friends were she was a member of Friendly Friends Sunday School Class. She retired from Walker Shoe Co. after 45 years of service as a Vice President and accountant. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed going to the beach and cooking for her family. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Wright; daughters, Jane Clayton and husband Ronald of Asheboro, Beth Baker and husband David of Asheboro; grandchildren, Matthew Baker and wife Karen, Spencer Clayton and wife Jessica; great grandchildren, Madilyn, Macie and Mia Baker. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral servies will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Ken and Pat Thames officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Asheboro Friends Meeting, 230 E. Kivett St., P. O. Box 987, Asheboro, NC 27203, or charity of donor's choice.
