Hester Curtis Burr

Hester Curtis Burr, age 85, formerly of 516 N. Main St,, Randleman died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Cross Road Retirement Community, Asheboro. Mrs. Burr was born July 8, 1922 the daughter of William and Wincy Vaughn Curtis. She was a native of Chesterfield, S.C. current member of Sophia Baptist Church, and former member of First Baptist Church of Randleman. She was preceded in death by her husband B.P. Burr in 1975.She was formerly employed by Schniersons of Randleman and Mr. Jeans. She is survived by two daughters: Margie Burr Wright and husband Hubert of Asheboro, and Ruth Burr Green and husband Jerry of Randleman. Grandchildren, Roy Wright and wife Pam, Angie Wright Hartselland husband Rusty, Kim Wright Smith and husband Darin, Tammy Green Cox and husband Randy all of Asheboro. Tina Green Ivey and husband David, Steven Green and wife Katherine all of Randleman. Great grandchildren, Preston Wright, Kaitlyn Wright Meredith Hartsell, Mason Hartsell, Mariah Hartsell, Tanner Smith, Curtis Smith, Megan Ivey;, Trevor Ivey, Emma Green,and Sarah Cox; Half sisters, Ann McDonald, Ruth Parker both of Chesterfield, SC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 2:00 - 3:30 PM at Sophia Baptist Church fellowship hall, 4082 Millikan Rd., Sophia, NC. and the Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 PM in the church with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Cross Road Retirement Community, 1302 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro, NC 27203
