Herbert Gustav Vilcsek, age 84, of Asheboro died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his home in Asheboro.
Mr. Vilcsek was born June 26, 1931 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, the son of Gustav and Helene Philipp Wilczek. He was retired from Western Roto Engravers in Greensboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Anna Maria Vilcsek, sons, Walter and Gunther Besserdich, and a brother, Karl-Heinz Wilczek.
He is survived by his daughter, Marieanne and her husband, Clifton Saintsing of Thomasville, four grandchildren, several great Grandchildren, sisters, Inge Karlow, Irmgard Hunt of Asheboro, Gisela Brendt, Gerda Pehl, and Renata Kukarz, brothers, Gunther, Edward, and Lothar Wilczek.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 12:30-1:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Gilchrist officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
