Herbert Earl Stanley, Jr.

Herbert Earl "Stan" Stanley, Jr., age 54, of Roslyn Rd., Troy died Friday, August 28, 2015 at Raleigh. Stan was born April 30, 1961 at New Bern, NC, the son of Herbert Earl and Ellen Buffkin Stanley. He was a graduate of West Montgomery High School, attended ECPI and an avid skydiver. He was employed by Northern Telecom and a member of First Baptist Church of Troy. He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Earl Stanley, Sr. He is survived by his mother: Ellen Buffkin Stanley of Laurinburg, formerly of Troy; three sisters: Suellen Stanley (Gary) Arnett, Vicki Lee Stanley and Anne Stanley (David) Myers, all of Laurinburg. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Southside Cemetery, S. Main St., Troy with Dr. Phillips McRae officiating.
