Herbert Dean Krebs

Herbert Dean Krebs, age 81, of Asheboro, NC died Monday, January 24, 2011 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Cheche Funeral Home Chapel with military honors. Burial will be at later date in the Conquest Cemetery, Conquest, NY. Mr. Krebs was born in Utica, NY and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was retired from Hammond & Irving in Auburn, NY and was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Alcock Krebs. He is survived by his wife, Donna Haig Krebs, sons, Herbert D. Krebs, Jr. of Arizona, Robert Krebs of Auburn, NY, Dennis Krebs of Greenville, SC; daughters, Irene Krebs of Port Byron, NY, Leitha Krebs Oakes of Vaiden, MS, Linda Krebs Waters of Auburn, NY; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Fern Jennings of Wheedsport, NY The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 7:00- 9:00 PM at Cheche Funeral Home, 1778 Clark Street Rd., Auburn, NY.
