Helen Auman Tarlton

Helen Elaine Auman Tarlton, age 65, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Tarlton was born in Randolph County on January 27, 1952 to Dennis and Lydia Biles Auman. Helen was a 1970 graduate of Asheboro High School. She was retired from Klaussner Furniture after 45 years of service. Helen was a member of Oakwood Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her son, Brian Tarlton. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining friends at home and going to the beach. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Tarlton; son, Glenn Tarlton of Asheboro; granddaughter, Ashley Morgan Tarlton and fiancé Joey Lovings of Asheboro; great granddaughter, Sophia Grace Upchurch; sister, Faye Fisher and husband Terry of Asheboro; brothers, Ronnie Auman and wife Tammy of Asheboro and Darrell Auman and wife Lisa of Randleman; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a gracious thank you to her medical staff and caretakers at Wake Forest Medical Center and her "Angels" at Hospice of Randolph for their love and care during her stay. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 12:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
