Helen McKay Shaw

Helen McKay Shaw, age 96, of Asheboro died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Shaw was born September 9, 1917 to Cleveland and Willie McKay. She was a member of New Union United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her husband, James Shaw and son James Shaw, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Shaw of Asheboro, grandchildren, Lisa Kennedy and husband Wayne of Clemmons, John Shaw of Colorado; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jordan and Ava; special friend, Russell Bondurant. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
