Helen Butchko Kuzma

Helen Butchko Kuzma, age 93, of Cross Road Retirement Community Center, Asheboro and originally of Endicott, NY, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Kuzma was born January 23, 1921 the daughter of Michael and Mary Hodanichs Kuzma. Mrs. Kuzma was born in Binghamton, New York and a graduate of Binghamton's Central HS and the Binghamton School of Practical Nursing with her LPN nursing degree. She was formerly employed by IBM during WWII, at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY and later at GAF in Vestal, NY. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband: Michael Kuzma and son: Michael Richard Kuzma. She is survived by her daughter: Deanne Maureen Moran and her husband, J. Thomas Moran of Geneva, FL, son: Dr. Gary Robert Kuzma and his wife, Catherine Kuzma of Greensboro, NC, daughter-in-law: Jeannette Louise Kuzma of Asheboro; grandchildren: Dr. Kevin Michael Kuzma, Rebecca Helene Kuzma, Michelle Catherine Kuzma , Nicole Lee Connors and her husband, Dr. Wayne Frederick Connors and Dr. Carrie Ann Kuzma and one great-grandchild: Alexander Michael Conners. No formal memorial service will be held at this time. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Kuzma family.
