Helen Voss King, age 80, of Asheboro celebrates her home-going today to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a wonderful woman, filled with courage and with strength, a legacy that she leaves behind to those who loved her and who knew her well. Mostly, she will be remembered for her love and her devotion to her children, to her granddaughters and to her great grandson. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by the late Marshall C. Voss and the late Cecil Elrin King. She leaves behind two daughters, Marsha E. Williamson and son-in-law Jack D. Williamson and Carole Shaw both of Asheboro; three granddaughters, Jana Richardson and husband Kyle Richardson, Laranda Williamson and Meredith Shaw all of Asheboro, NC; great grandson, Kyle Richardson; one sister, Millie Robbins of Asheboro, NC and three brothers, Guy E. York of Asheboro, NC, Vaughn M. York of High Point, NC, Larry C. York of Walkertown, NC.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 3:00-4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday at 4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
