Helen Ragsdale Kellis

Helen Ragsdale Kellis, age 98, of 920 Eldorado St., Troy, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy. Mrs. Kellis was born February 5, 1910 at Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of the late Wyatte C. and the late Julia (Dennis) Ragsdale. She was member of First United Methodist Church and a former employee of Smitherman Cotton Mill. She is survived by one daughter: Walser Mae Luther of the home; one son: Billy Joe Kellis of Troy; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-8:30 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 822 NC Hwy 109N, Troy, with Rev. William Saunders and Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery, Mt. Olivet Church Rd., Troy.
