Helen Gertrude Jarrett

Helen Gertrude Routh Jarrett, age 80, of Franklinville died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Jarrett was born May 12, 1932 the daughter of Glenn Clarence and Edna Foust Routh. Mrs. Jarrett was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and enjoyed caring for people, loved flowers and made the best pickles. Helen was lovingly called "Mammy". Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Jarrett, daughter: Linda Jarrett, parents: Glenn and Edna Routh and brothers: James and Darrell Routh. Helen is survived by her children: JoAnn Smith and husband, Tim of Randleman, Wayne Jarrett of Randleman, Karen Jarrett and Brice Hollis of New London, Susan Blanton and husband, John of Franklinville, Eddy Jarrett and wife, Willa Mae of Randleman; 8 grandchildren: Phillip Smith, Misty Hurley; Shelly Harris and husband, Josh, Angie Turner Jarrett, Josh Blanton and wife, Angie, Jody Blanton and wife, Olivia, Carey Benson and husband, Bryan, Matthew Jarrett and wife, Shana, 12 great grandchildren: Gatlin and Kaymen Hurley, Emerson, Charleigh and Cash Harris, , Logan and Jayden Turner; Rayney and Ashlyn Benson, Bailey and Jonah Blanton and Emma Jarrett; 7 brothers and sisters: Blanche Allred, Ruby Routh, Clay Routh, Mary Inman, Frank Routh, R.P. Routh and Larry Routh. The family will receive friends Monday, July 30, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Bethany United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home of Eddy and Willa Mae Jarrett, 6486 Georgia Drive, Randleman. Helen will lie in state at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman from 2:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2012 and Monday, July 30, 2012 from 9:00 AM until Noon. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3650 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville with Pastor Pat Dixon officiating.
