Helen Warren Jackson

Helen Frances Warren Jackson passed away January 28, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Dr. Robert Lee Warren and Jessie Allen Warren, of Dunn, NC. She was predeceased by her husband, C.D. Jackson, and siblings, Genevieve (Warren) Nichols, William Howard Warren, and Dr. Sue Allen Warren. Helen is survived by her sons Bill and his wife, Robbie Lane, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Dee and his wife, Melody, of Asheboro, NC; Kent and his fianc, Beverly Hall, of Coolidge, AZ; grandchildren John and his wife, Candace, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Mary Lee and her husband, Matthew, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Ricky and his wife, Diana, of Asheboro, NC, and two great-grandchildren. After graduating from Dunn High School, Helen received her bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Meredith College. She was a Home Economist for Carolina Power and Light. Helen was seriously injured in an automobile accident in 1959, and yet she was still an excellent homemaker in spite of her challenges. She was a loving wife and mother and will always be remembered for her cooking skills and her quick wit. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro. Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Ave, Asheboro with Dr. John S. Rogers and Dr. J.B. Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff of Cross Road Retirement Center and Woodland Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center for their care.
